1. PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED

Websites, blogs, and/or apps provided by Vining Law use online forms for visitors to request information from, or a consultation with, Vining Law. When visitors fill out one of these online contact forms, they may be asked to provide certain personally identifiable information, including name, address, email, and phone number. After filling out this form, messages are automatically forwarded to Vining Law or its representatives, and contact information is saved in a database.

TCR COMPLIANCE STATEMENT (CRITICAL FOR SMS): Notwithstanding any other provisions in this Privacy Policy, please be aware that SMS opt-in data and consent for text messaging programs will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This data is used solely by Vining Law (Vining Law LLC) for the purposes for which consent was provided.

4. SMS / Text Messaging Terms & Conditions (TCR Compliant)

This section outlines the specific terms governing your consent to receive text messages from Vining Law Firm (Legal Business Name: Vining Law LLC).

  1. Consent to Receive SMS Messages: We may communicate via SMS, texts, or similar technology. By providing your mobile number and opting into our SMS program via a form on our website at https://thevlfirm.com/contact-us where you provide your mobile number and give explicit consent, you explicitly consent to receive SMS/text messages from Vining Law Firm. You understand that consent is not a condition of engaging our legal services.

  3. Opt-Out Instructions: At any point, you can text STOP to unsubscribe from our SMS communications. You will receive one final confirmation message indicating that you have been unsubscribed. No further messages will be sent unless you explicitly opt back in.

  5. Third-Party Providers for SMS: We may use third-party service providers (such as RingCentral) to facilitate our SMS communications. These providers are contractually bound to handle your data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable laws, acting solely as our service providers for message delivery.

We do not include or offer third party products or services on our website.

6. GOOGLE ADSENSE

Google’s advertising requirements can be summed up by Google’s Advertising Principles. They are put in place to provide a positive experience for users. We have not enabled Google AdSense on our site, but we may do so in the future.

7. GOOGLE ADWORDS

This website uses the Google AdWords remarketing service to advertise on third-party websites (including Google) to previous visitors to our site. Adwords is a remarketing and behavioral targeting service provided by Google that collects the cookie and usage data of visitors to this website. It connects the activity of users on this website with the Adwords advertising network and the Doubleclick Cookie. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on someone’s past browsing activity. You could be shown an advertisement on the Google search results page or a site in the Google Display Network based on your visit to this website. 8. GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Google Analytics is a web analysis service provided by Google. 9. CALIFORNIA ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT (CalOPPA)

CalOPPA is the first state law in the nation to require commercial websites and online services to post a privacy policy. The law’s reach stretches well beyond California to require a person or company that operates websites collecting personally identifiable information from California consumers to post a conspicuous privacy policy on its website stating exactly the information being collected and the individuals with whom it is being shared, and to comply with this policy. In compliance with CalOPPA we agree to the following:

  • We will create a privacy policy and add a link to it on our home page, or as a minimum, on the first significant page after entering our website.
  • Our privacy policy link includes the word “privacy,” and can easily be found on the page specified above.
  • Users will be notified of any privacy policy changes on our Privacy Policy page.
  • Users are able to change their personal information by calling us.

10. HOW DOES OUR SITE HANDLE “DO NOT TRACK” SIGNALS?

We honor “do not track” signals and do not track, plant cookies, or use advertising when a Do Not Track (DNT) browser mechanism is in place.

Any website, blog, or app provided by Vining Law may allow third-party behavioral tracking.

12. COPPA (CHILDREN’S ONLINE PRIVACY PROTECTION ACT)

The Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) spells out what operators of websites and online services must do to protect children’s privacy and safety online by regulating the collection of personal information from children under age 13. This website does not specifically market to children under age 13.
