Rodney Vining Jr. is the founding attorney of Vining Law and leads the firm’s personal injury litigation practice. He represents people injured in motor vehicle collisions, premises liability matters, catastrophic injury cases, wrongful death claims, and other serious personal injury matters throughout Connecticut.
Rodney remains directly involved in the development and litigation of the firm’s cases, including strategy, depositions, negotiations, expert preparation, and trial preparation. He believes clients should know the attorney responsible for their case and understand what is happening at each significant stage.
A native of West Haven, Connecticut, Rodney has built his practice representing injured people in the communities he knows best and throughout the state. His approach is straightforward: understand the client’s injuries, develop the evidence, identify every available source of recovery, and prepare the case so it is positioned as strongly as possible before serious settlement negotiations begin.
Rodney works closely with the firm’s attorneys and legal staff on litigation strategy, case development, and the major decisions that shape each matter.
Background
Rodney grew up in West Haven, Connecticut and attended Virginia State University, a historically Black university, before earning his law degree and beginning his legal career in Connecticut.
His practice has developed around personal injury litigation, with a particular emphasis on preparing cases thoroughly, understanding the insurance coverage available, and developing the medical and factual evidence necessary to properly present a client’s damages.
Outside the Office
Outside the office, Rodney spends much of his time with his family. He is an avid runner and enjoys weight training, outdoor activities, and just about anything athletic or competitive.
